But Sue! You haven't been in your house for very long. Correct. We have lived at house for 2 years once we finally moved, but certain circumstances had us consider moving now.
Our original plan was to live in our home for about 5 years, do a little updating, and then look for another house that would be our "forever" house. However, the market in the Denver area is hot. Not only is it a seller's market but there aren't many houses up for sale either (for a variety of reasons). So we decided to take advantage of the market and sell our house and look for our new one.
As much as we loved our first home, there were some quirks that we know about and we were okay with dealing with them because it wasn't anything serious. But now we had an opportunity to look for a house that was more of what we wanted and needed.
After a month and a half we are finally moved in. Thank god we found a house we loved so soon. With our closing moving so quickly, we were afraid we weren't going to be able to find anything in the short amount of time we had. Luckily, we did. Whew!
We are so excited that we own this house. It does have a few things that need fixing and updating, but, unlike our first house, we were okay with this because we could see ourselves in this house for a long time. So we listed or projects and plan to tackle them in the next few years.

We've been in the house a few weeks now and I still love it, so that's good. Haha! We've gotten our new furniture taken care of, but that's about it. All the other things we plan to do in the next few months require professional help, like landscaping. So it's a matter of being patient and taking it once project at a time. For now, we're just enjoying our new home!
